Adults who have completed their process of initiation, including Confirmation, and are registered members of the Church in good standing are invited to become ministers of the Eucharist. These ministers assist the celebrant in distributing Holy Communion at Mass, as well as to the homebound and sick of the parish.

In addition to the distribution of Communion, Eucharistic Ministers act as greeters to welcome newcomers, guests and parish members to the Sunday Masses. Special attention is given to welcoming newcomers to St. Gabriel's community.
